Welcome Spring! It doesn't feel like it, but it's been three months since I last updated! Which means I have a little catching up to do :)

Everyone always thinks that my job is so easy, "how great it must be to stay at home, work at your leisure, and do what you love." While there is no arguing with any that, being a full time artist is pretty awesome, in every sense. But, and this is a big but, the work NEVER stops. I literally have to work all day every day. There are many reasons for this but I will break it down to two parts. The first part is to stay relevant. By constantly producing new works I keep my social media fresh and hold the interest of my followers. There is also a balance of personal works, show pieces, and small affordable works that I must keep up with to keep all of my consumers happy. The second part, which is the not so fun part, is to handle and process all orders. Currently, I I order all my own prints, frame all my own orignals, and package and ship all of my own packages. It's really not that bad, but it takes aways time I could be working on a piece or maybe even taking time off :D That being said! I am very pleased to announce I have hired my first assistant! This is a big step for me as I have always worked alone, but the load is getting pretty heavy, and it is going to be wonderful to share it with someone :) I think this is the start of something really amazing for me and my business.

In other news, "Mermaid Monday" has been a great success and will continue through out the year! Look for auctions taking place between my facebook page www.facebook.com/juliagabrielovartist or on my instagram @juliagabrielov every other Monday at 8pm EST. Auctions will always start at $10 in an effort to provide affordable originals to all my followers!
